Dark Souls III Bosses Checklist
All 27 bosses in Dark Souls III with where to find them, weaknesses, souls and rewards. Tick them off as you go.
- Iudex Gundyr – Cemetery of Ash. Weak to Fire, Frost. Halberd-wielding tutorial boss. Stay close behind his swings; a black serpent bursts out at half health.
- Vordt of the Boreal Valley – High Wall of Lothric. Weak to Fire, Dark. A beastly knight with a frost mace. Attack his hind legs and dodge the charges in his second phase.
- Curse-rotted Greatwood – Undead Settlement. Weak to Fire. A rotten tree. Pop the glowing sacs on its body; the floor gives way during the fight.
- Crystal Sage – Road of Sacrifices. Weak to Strike, Thrust, Bleed. A teleporting sorcerer who later makes clones; the real one leaves a trail of particles.
- Deacons of the Deep – Cathedral of the Deep. Weak to Fire, Physical. A crowd of deacons around a coffin. Always strike the deacon glowing red to drain the boss bar.
- Stray Demon – Farron Keep. Weak to Dark, Lightning. A mini-boss on the Farron Keep ramparts above the Old Wolf. No health bar, but it drops a boss soul.
- Abyss Watchers – Farron Keep. Weak to Lightning, Fire (phase 1). Lord of Cinder. Several Watchers fight each other; the second phase sets the blade on fire.
- High Lord Wolnir – Catacombs of Carthus. Weak to Holy (miracles, blessed). A giant skeleton king. Break the three golden bracelets on his wrists and avoid his dark breath.
- Demon – Smouldering Lake. Weak to Dark, Frost. A lone demon reached by a ladder off the rope bridge near Wolnir; it drops a boss soul.
- Old Demon King – Smouldering Lake. Weak to Dark, Frost. A slow fire demon. Stay under him and watch for the meteor shower and fire sweeps.
- Pontiff Sulyvahn – Irithyll of the Boreal Valley. Weak to Bleed, Frost. A fast twin-sword duellist who summons a mirror copy of himself at half health.
- Aldrich, Devourer of Gods – Anor Londo. Weak to Fire, Lightning. Lord of Cinder. A teleporting sludge caster; dodge his arrow rain and soul-mass volleys.
- Yhorm the Giant – Profaned Capital. Weak to Storm Ruler, Lightning. Lord of Cinder. Take the Storm Ruler from beside his throne and use its weapon skill.
- Dancer of the Boreal Valley – High Wall of Lothric. Weak to Dark, Lightning. A graceful, swaying giant at the High Wall. Triggered by the Basin of Vows or after the third Lord falls.
- Oceiros, the Consumed King – Consumed King's Garden. Weak to Lightning. A mad dragon-king hunting his invisible child. Stay near his side and watch the lunges in phase two.
- Champion Gundyr – Untended Graves. Weak to Lightning, Frost. A faster, fiercer Gundyr. Parrying is the safest way to open him up.
- Ancient Wyvern – Archdragon Peak. Weak to Plunging attack. Skip the brawl: climb the side structure and plunge onto its head for a near-instant kill.
- Nameless King – Archdragon Peak. Weak to Lightning (dragon), Fire (king). A two-stage duel against the storm drake and its rider, then the king on foot. Delayed swings punish early rolls.
- Dragonslayer Armour – Lothric Castle. Weak to Lightning, Frost. An armour on the castle bridge. Wyverns firebomb the arena; shields help against its charged axe.
- Twin Princes – Grand Archives. Weak to Lightning, Frost. Lord of Cinder Lothric, Younger Prince, and his brother Lorian. In phase two kill Lothric first, since he revives Lorian.
- Soul of Cinder – Kiln of the First Flame. Weak to Lightning. Final boss. It swaps fighting styles in phase one, then mirrors Gwyn in phase two.
- Champion's Gravetender & Gravetender Greatwolf (Ashes of Ariandel) – Painted World of Ariandel. Weak to Fire, Bleed. A duo fight in a ruin; dodge the wolf while picking off the Gravetender, or bait the wolf away.
- Sister Friede (Ashes of Ariandel) – Painted World of Ariandel. Weak to Fire, Bleed. A three-phase fight against Friede and Father Ariandel. Bring fire for the second phase.
- Demon Prince (The Ringed City) – The Dreg Heap. Weak to Dark. Two demons first (Demon in Pain and Demon from Below), then the Demon Prince rises from the last one.
- Halflight, Spear of the Church (The Ringed City) – The Ringed City. Weak to Fire, Bleed. A guardian that may be played by a real Spears of the Church player; kill the summoned Ringed Knights fast.
- Darkeater Midir (The Ringed City) – The Ringed City. Weak to Lightning, Fire. A huge dark dragon with long laser sweeps. Fight from under his head and front legs. Grants the Spears of the Church covenant.
- Slave Knight Gael (The Ringed City) – Filianore's Rest. Weak to Frost, Poison. The DLC finale. Gael grows faster each phase and finishes with lightning and a crossbow.
