Dark Souls III Shields Checklist

Every small shield, shield and greatshield. Where to find each one in Dark Souls III, DLC included.

Small Shield

  • Buckler: Sold by Greirat at Firelink Shrine for 2,000 souls.
  • Target Shield: Sold by Greirat at Firelink Shrine for 2,500 souls once he returns from his first trip (Undead Settlement).
  • Small Leather Shield: Shoot down the hanging corpse on the left in the first house.
  • Leather Shield: Sold by the Shrine Handmaid at Firelink Shrine for 500 souls.
  • Crimson Parma: Sold by the Shrine Handmaid at Firelink Shrine for 800 souls.
  • Red and White Shield: On a hanging corpse under the bridge past the skeleton tunnels; shoot it down. It is a Blessed +1.
  • Caduceus Round Shield: On the right side after opening the door of the building past the bridge from the courtyard.
  • Elkhorn Round Shield: Sold by Greirat at Firelink Shrine for 1,500 souls.
  • Warrior's Round Shield: Sold by the Shrine Handmaid at Firelink Shrine for 600 souls.
  • Plank Shield: Around the back of the house full of shooters past the bridge from the main courtyard.
  • Ghru Rotshield: Random drop from shield-bearing Ghru, e.g. between the Farron Keep Perimeter and Abyss Watchers bonfires.
  • Iron Round Shield: Random drop from the Hollow soldiers carrying it; the dragon burns several on the bridge.
  • Hawkwood's Shield: After Hawkwood leaves Firelink Shrine, Andre hands it over, or it lies by a gravestone outside the shrine.
  • Llewellyn Shield: Dropped by Horace the Hushed, found in a tunnel right of the ballista view at the lake.
  • Eastern Iron Shield: Sold by the Shrine Handmaid at Firelink Shrine for 3,000 souls once she has the Easterner's Ashes.
  • Golden Falcon Shield: Through a broken wall partway up the stairs of the Crucifixion Woods building, follow the outside path.
  • Sacred Bloom Shield: Behind an illusory wall at the top of the ladder in the Winged Knight room up the first stairs.
  • Dragonhead Shield (The Ringed City): Down the ladder and to the right past the Judicator on the way to the Purging Monument (Lapp questline route).

Shield

  • Large Leather Shield: Sold by the Shrine Handmaid at Firelink Shrine for 800 souls.
  • Carthus Shield: Random drop from the red-eyed Grave Warden skeletons that carry it.
  • East-West Shield: Stuck in a tree branch on the left of the stairs left of the Firelink Shrine entrance.
  • Blue Wooden Shield: By the small wooden shack left of the white tree near the Dilapidated Bridge bonfire.
  • Round Shield: Sold by Greirat at Firelink Shrine for 1,000 souls.
  • Wooden Shield: Random drop from shield-bearing Hollow soldiers on the High Wall.
  • Wargod Wooden Shield: After being carried off by the cage near the shooters' house, it lies near where you arrive; also reachable later from Pit of Hollows.
  • Follower Shield (Ashes of Ariandel): At the cliff ahead of the start, turn right and drop down left by the big rock.
  • Kite Shield: Sold by Greirat at Firelink Shrine for 4,000 souls.
  • Silver Eagle Kite Shield: In a chest down the wooden walkway inside the main hall below the rooftop of Hollows.
  • Knight Shield: Sold by Greirat at Firelink Shrine for 1,500 souls once he returns from his first trip (Undead Settlement).
  • Lothric Knight Shield: Sold by Greirat at Firelink Shrine for 3,000 souls once he returns from his Irithyll trip (lost if he dies there).
  • Spider Shield: Dropped by the hostile Brigand NPC met shortly after the first Cathedral of the Deep bonfire.
  • Sunset Shield: Sirris questline: after helping her defeat Holy Knight Hodrick, it lies on the cliff to the left outside Firelink Shrine.
  • Sunlight Shield: Trade a Mendicant's Staff to the crow nest Pickle Pee, Pump-a-Rum Crow atop Firelink Shrine.
  • Stone Parma: A short walk along the left wall from the Farron Keep bonfire, near a slug.
  • Spiked Shield: Dropped by Longfinger Kirk, who invades in the large room past the mimic below the balcony (be embered).
  • Pierce Shield: Sold by Patches for 3,000 souls while Siegward is in the well; Siegward also gives it at the end of his questline.
  • Porcine Shield: Trade an Undead Bone Shard to Pickle Pee, Pump-a-Rum Crow; best done in NG+ so no Estus upgrade is lost.
  • Grass Crest Shield: In the Crucifixion Woods swamp near the first crab below the bonfire.
  • Crest Shield: Up a winding path to the right after the first set of stairs.
  • Dragon Crest Shield: In front of the dead dragon below the gate area beyond the Stray Demon arena.
  • Spirit Tree Crest Shield: In a chest near the stairs with a boreal knight, in the first room left after dropping off the wyvern bridge.
  • Golden Wing Crest Shield: Dropped by one of the three NPC hunters on the big staircase before the Twin Princes.
  • Pontiff Knight Shield: Sold by Greirat at Firelink Shrine for 3,000 souls once he returns from his first trip (Undead Settlement).
  • Black Knight Shield: Random drop from the Black Knights past the Champion Gundyr bonfire.
  • Silver Knight Shield: Random drop from shield-carrying Silver Knights past the Anor Londo bonfire.
  • Ethereal Oak Shield (Ashes of Ariandel): Inside the snowfield tower: climb the ladder, then drop down.
  • Shield of Want: In the lake, the item closest to the Carthus Sandworm.

Greatshield

  • Twin Dragon Greatshield: By the lake edge, visible from the group of mushroom bugs guarding a Titanite Shard near the cliff wall.
  • Black Iron Greatshield: Deep in the tunnels below the Demon Ruins, past the basilisk room and Black Knight bridge.
  • Lothric Knight Greatshield: Sold by Greirat at Firelink Shrine for 5,000 souls once he returns from his Irithyll trip (lost if he dies there).
  • Cathedral Knight Greatshield: Random drop from Cathedral Knights carrying greatshields.
  • Stone Greatshield: Random drop from the large Elder Ghru.
  • Bonewheel Shield: Random drop from the rolling Bonewheel Skeletons.
  • Ancient Dragon Greatshield: On a ledge right up the second staircase from the first bonfire.
  • Greatshield of Glory: Dropped by the left-most mimic chest in the room with eight casters and a gargoyle beside the boss door.
  • Moaning Shield: On Eygon's body in Irina's old cell after the Dragonslayer Armour dies; if you bought dark miracles from Irina, kill Eygon near Iudex Gundyr instead.
  • Wolf Knight's Greatshield: Covenant reward: reach rank 2 in the Watchdogs of Farron.
  • Havel's Greatshield: Dropped by the Havel Knight, found in the building opposite the Great Belfry stairs or sometimes spawning at the Dragon-Kin Mausoleum.
  • Curse Ward Greatshield: Inside the small tower on the right of the courtyard reached across the bridge past the Hollow section.
  • Dragonslayer Greatshield: Transpose the Soul of Dragonslayer Armour with Ludleth of Courland at Firelink Shrine.
  • Yhorm's Greatshield: Transpose the Soul of Yhorm the Giant with Ludleth of Courland at Firelink Shrine.
  • Dragonhead Greatshield (The Ringed City): On a ledge just below the start of the dragonfire bridge near the church.
  • Giant Door Shield (The Ringed City): At the end of a narrow cliffside path leading down from the right-hand hut on the cliff.
