- Catacombs of Carthus: Reload again: he is gone and Hawkwood's Shield lies by a gravestone outside where the dog roams.
- Untended Graves: At the dark Firelink Shrine, search the graves for the Hornet Ring (where Hawkwood's Shield was) and the Chaos Blade (where the Sword Master stood).
