A cliffside road leading into the flooded Crucifixion Woods and the Crystal Sage.

  • Brigand Twindaggers: At the end of the downhill side path left of the first stone bridge.
  • Sellsword Twinblades: Next to the Black Knight in the large stone hall reached by dropping down from the first bend of the main path.
  • Exile Greatsword: Dropped by one of the two Exile Watchdogs guarding the gateway into Farron Keep.
  • Brigand Axe: First corpse on the downhill side path left of the first stone bridge.
  • Butcher Knife: Dropped by the cleaver-wielding Peasant Hollow woman down the hill left of the first stone bridge.
  • Heysel Pick: Dropped by Yellowfinger Heysel, who invades in the Crucifixion Woods swamp when you are embered.
  • Great Club: Dropped by one of the two Exile Watchdogs guarding the gateway into Farron Keep.
  • Spiked Mace: Random drop from mace-wielding Evangelists, e.g. one between the Crystal Sage and Cathedral of the Deep bonfires.
  • Pike: Random drop from the log-carrying giants in Road of Sacrifices and Crucifixion Woods.
  • Great Corvian Scythe: Random drop from the scythe-wielding Corvians in the Road of Sacrifices.
  • Heretic's Staff: On the bottom floor of the building before the Crystal Sage, entered through a small hole.
  • Storyteller's Staff: Random drop from spell-casting Corvians.
  • Golden Falcon Shield: Through a broken wall partway up the stairs of the Crucifixion Woods building, follow the outside path.
  • Grass Crest Shield: In the Crucifixion Woods swamp near the first crab below the bonfire.
  • Twin Dragon Greatshield: By the lake edge, visible from the group of mushroom bugs guarding a Titanite Shard near the cliff wall.
  • Brigand Hood: On a cliff along the downhill side path left of the first stone bridge.
  • Sellsword Helm: On a balcony to the right of the stone hall with a Black Knight, below the first bend of the main path.
  • Herald Helm: On a corpse beside a campfire watched by an Evangelist along the main path.
  • Fallen Knight Helm: On the shore a little to the left after dropping into the Crucifixion Woods swamp near the first crab.
  • Sorcerer Hood: Behind the small water-level door left of the stairs of the Crucifixion Woods building.

  • Chloranthy Ring+2: NG++: on a cliff ledge below the tree near the fire-casting enemy past the wagon.
  • Great Swamp Pyromancy Tome: Road of Sacrifices: in the deep water of the Crucifixion Woods swamp near a tree and a big crab.
  • Braille Divine Tome of Carim: Road of Sacrifices: drop off the right side of the second stone bridge into a cave with two dogs.
  • Farron Coal: Road of Sacrifices: at the back of a stone room guarded by a Black Knight, below the main path.
  • Soul of a Crystal Sage: Dropped by the Crystal Sage.
  • Estus Shard: Road of Sacrifices: inside the ruins near the Crucifixion Woods bonfire, in a corner beside a campfire.

Walkthrough: Road of Sacrifices

  • If you have not yet, send Greirat out to pillage; he comes back after a boss.
  • From the Road of Sacrifices bonfire walk down the path and drop left of the tree for a Shriving Stone.
  • A Soul of an Unknown Traveler lies by an overturned cart further on.
  • NG++ only: drop to the ledge behind the first Corvian Storyteller for the Chloranthy Ring+2.
  • At the fork go left, drop off the end of the path and go left again. The Madwoman there drops the Butcher Knife.
  • In this lower area collect the Brigand Axe, the Brigand Set and the Brigand Twindaggers.
  • Go back up, under the bridge and across it for a Titanite Shard.
  • Before the next bridge, drop to the right for the Braille Divine Tome of Carim and Morne's Ring. Give the tome to Irina of Carim and buy its miracles if you want her to become a Fire Keeper.
  • Before the arch to Halfway Fortress, an Ember sits on a ledge with a caster.
  • At Halfway Fortress talk to Anri of Astora until she has nothing left to say, and talk to Horace the Hushed to join the Blue Sentinels.
  • Then go back to Firelink Shrine to meet Sirris of the Sunless Realms and start her quest.
  • Enter Crucifixion Woods; where the path bends left, drop off the right side twice for a Soul of an Unknown Traveler.
  • Drop again, hug the right wall to a door and cross to the balcony steps for the Sellsword Set.
  • Drop below it for the Sellsword Twinblades.
  • Deeper in the building is the Farron Coal (Heavy, Sharp and Poison infusions).
  • Leave by the same door, wade along the left edge of the water by the cliffs for a Titanite Shard.
  • Keep the cliff on your left past the ramp to Halfway Fortress for another Titanite Shard.
  • Further on, a swarm of Poisonhorn Bugs guards a third Titanite Shard.
  • Head uphill toward the water for the Twin Dragon Greatshield.
  • At the stone wall with the broken arch, loot a Fading Soul before passing through.
  • Turn right after the arch to light the Crucifixion Woods bonfire. Along the rock wall a purple sign summons Holy Knight Hodrick as a hostile mad phantom; kill him for souls.
  • Past his sign, drop off the ledge for an Estus Shard.
  • Circle the ruined building to a bonfire pile with an Ember.
  • Complete the loop for a Soul of an Unknown Traveler.
  • Drop into the water below the bonfire and kill the far Great Crab for the Great Swamp Ring.
  • While embered, Yellowfinger Heysel invades near the crabs. Kill her for the Heysel Pick and Xanthous Crown.
  • In the swamp collect Green Blossom x2, Green Blossom x4, the Grass Crest Shield, the Conjurator Set and the Great Swamp Pyromancy Tome (the last two in deep water near the Farron Keep entrance).
  • Near the two Green Blossoms, climb steps out of the water and go through the door on the left for the Sage Ring and the Sorcerer Set.
  • NG+ only: the Lingering Dragoncrest Ring+1 is next to a tree here.
  • Take the steps on your left into the building; a Crystal Lizard in the hallway beyond drops a Crystal Gem.
  • Climb to the balcony and drop off the broken end for a Ring of Sacrifice.
  • Go back up the stairs only to the broken wall and follow the path to the Golden Falcon Shield.
  • Drop down and defeat the two hostile NPCs for the Great Club and the Exile Greatsword.
  • By the water is the Fallen Knight Set, and a Large Soul of an Unknown Traveler by the wall.
  • In the building they guarded, take Homeward Bone x2 from the balcony, then climb down the ladder to light the Farron Keep bonfire.
  • Back at Crucifixion Woods, slip through the hole in the ruins wall; the Heretic's Staff waits in an alcove on the right.
  • At the four-way crossing take the left door and turn right at the wall to meet Orbeck of Vinheim. With 10 Intelligence he agrees to teach you and moves to the shrine.
  • Bring Orbeck a scroll before four more bosses fall, or he leaves for good.
  • Orbeck gives the Young Dragon Ring after you buy three spells and hand in a scroll, and the Silent Ally gesture plus the Slumbering Dragoncrest Ring after you buy Aural Decoy, Farron Flashsword, Pestilent Mist and Spook.
  • Down the broken steps from Orbeck's study are Blue Bug Pellet x2; drop to the last room before the boss.
  • Eygon of Carim's summon sign is by a pillar here if Irina is safe at the shrine.
  • Defeat the Crystal Sage for the Soul of a Crystal Sage.
  • Follow the winding paths past its bonfire; two Crystal Lizards each drop a Twinkling Titanite.
  • Drop beside a big fire for the Herald Set and carry on to the Cathedral of the Deep bonfire.
